Diversity and Eid World Wide

Inspired by Diversity
A friend's tweet regarding Eid Celebrations in Prospect Mira  Moscow inspired me to collect a montage of photos world wide showing Muslims during Eid.

My intent is to show the vast variety among Muslim populations worldwide as communities come together in prayer to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr and the end of Ramadan.

It's amazing how many people show up in major cities for Eid prayer. In Moscow, apparently they shut down streets. Picture from the same Russian news source as prior 3 pictures.

The online Guardian.co.uk has a sweet set of Eid photos worldwide From Indonesia to Sudan and Bangledesh.   This photo shows Jakarta, Indonesia at the boat docks.

These Sisters in Iran are a speckling of black, grey and white... who's that daring to wear color? You go girl.  Eid prayer in Meshhad, Iran. Photo also from Guardian.co.uk

NPR and the Associated Press present international smatterings of photos from around the globe. There are a fair share of awesome European photos like this Paris, France photo where pedestrians walk by and the Mosque overflows onto the street. Where's the sisters? Hijab all up in your street France.

This lovely photo is also from NPR's Eid around the globe photos. It's a packed Masjid in Duisberg, West Germany...

It is great to see Muslim from different places around the globe pray to the One God during Eid's day. Thanks for your effort on it.

Nb: it would be even better if we can also see pic of muslim's activity during last Ramadhan and future Hajj period :)
